Mount Helix is a popular destination for East County residents that want to come up and catch a great sunrise or sunset and just enjoy the beautiful views from the top of the mountain.
The annual heART event remains one of the most awaited events on Mt. Helix raising critical funds forPark operations and entertaining more than 500 guests with restaurant samplings, music on two stages and live art demonstrations throughout the night. Easter Sunrise Service

the few areas in San Diego County that have a system of public stairways. Today, people delight in the
discovery of the stairways and take pleasure in facing the challenge of navigating the steep ascents.
A few of my favorites include: Windsor Hills, Rolando Village, El Cerrito and of course the funky homes of the foothills of Mount
Helix always hold a surprise or two. The Lake Murray community also has some fantastic neighborhoods full of
residents that have lived there since the community was built in the 50’s.
